Many of us might think being a bartender is a walk in the park. Whatever reason that has been chosen to become a bartender, I am almost positive that your bartending job is fulfilling you in every way and it has brought you plenty of extra income, to help you out in life. Bar tending is a great job filled with excitement and fun.
Often bartenders at busy night clubs can make over five hundred dollars per shift, but the norm is closer around two or three hundred. The place where people interact is a very important part of every day life, so it's natural to see those places portrayed in movies. Bartending used to be thought of as something to do to earn money while you were either going to school or looking for something better. As long as you have a well established place of business and do not tolerate misbehavior such as that, it should never be a big concern because your customers are just not like that.
The bartender must be acquainted with their area well and must know how to act upon their mixing duties once the business is on the rise. Today's bartenders are a breed apart, savvy and knowledgeable performers in a fast paced exciting environment. A Well drink is the opposite of a Call drink because it is a drink made up of a mixer and liquor without a definite brand. And there were some that weren’t able to find anything better, so they settled for tending bar until something better did come along.
Bartenders should be taught to properly stock and replenish the bar supplies throughout the shift, including ice, liquor, and all mixing supplies. The cost of many bartending programs includes job placement assistance following completion. Take all of these into account when creating the working practices in your bar. A White Russian, for example, must be stirred completely because of the heavy cream and thick Kahlua.
The faster the student is able to complete transactions, the happier his or her patrons will be. To become a successful bartender, or mixologist, it takes years of practice. Since bartenders are responsible for taking money from customers and providing them with correct change, cash handling is also covered in bartending school. That is because there are lots and lots of bartending styles, including the well known and very impressive flair style.
But that attitude is as necessary as the skill in mixing and pouring a drink. A bartending job truly can be the remedy you are looking for if the recession has hit you in the wallet. Almost all mixed drinks require juice, such as screwdrivers, which require both vodka and orange juice. Don't shy away from discussing various aspects of the job with the interviewer with regard to salary, working hour and so on; it only reflects on your professionalism.
It is your skill that matters at the end, so appear for the interview in formal attire to impress the interviewer. Bartending is a high paying job and is also a fun way to work.
