Not many jobs offer this type of freedom while still offering great pay. Keeping bar staff happy might turn into a nightmare, but you have to do your best. And even more importantly for the finances, a good bartender should remember the names, faces and drinks of most of their regular customers. Make sure your resume is free of errors, misspellings, or cross outs. It is not always easy to maintain a smiling, cheerful attitude. You should always know the names and preferences of your regulars.

A recession often means that companies aren't hiring as much so take a bartending job to hold you over until the storm passes. There should be also be fruit juices on hand as well, such as lemon juice, orange juice, and even pineapple juice. Also, the stations should have available sets of fruit juices and extracts such as Orange juice, Pineapple juice, Lemon and Lime. You would be amazed at how many resumes get thrown in the garbage because the applicant doesn't bother to even list relevant information.

The list can go on an on as there are hundreds of things any bartender should know. If you seem more like a friend then like an applicant you will get the job.
