The bartender should arrange the liquors and drinks a special way, to ensure that you know where everything is. The main difference between mixology and bartending is in the beverages you serve. If they aren't already familiar with the concept, they need to be able to up sell. It not only helps you to earn better, but also earns you the pleasure of your customers, and happy customers means better tips for you.

There are schools that train people and help them find jobs in the bartending field. When a drink is termed sour, it means that it is a short drink made of liquor, lime or lemon juice and sugar. Customers will love you if you take care of them and make them look good to their friends and when you go home at night, you will know that you are an appreciated, well liked bartender. It also takes coordination to move quick enough to keep up with the orders without dropping or spilling things.

A firm hand shake, eye contact and attentiveness during interview will help you to impress your interviewer. A Shaker, a measuring cup, a rinsing bowl and straws should be present and ready to use. Shakers are the most commonly used bar tool, as they are essential for mixing alcohol. You need to have your personality come across in your cover letter and put it on full display during your interview.
