Dealing with customers can also be a tricky thing. Get customers to the bar to purchase drinks and entertain them when they come over so you mentally force tips into your tip jar. A person that is responsible enough to cut off patrons and to monitor their activities while still having good time will work out perfectly as a bar tender. A good bartender can make a lot of money from tips.

Since bartenders are responsible for taking money from customers and providing them with correct change, cash handling is also covered in bartending school. That is because there are lots and lots of bartending styles, including the well known and very impressive flair style. Speed is another vital quality that a bartender must have. And even more importantly for the finances, a good bartender should remember the names, faces and drinks of most of their regular customers.

Also, the stations should have available sets of fruit juices and extracts such as Orange juice, Pineapple juice, Lemon and Lime. Below the bar of each station, there should be available cooled soft drinks like Schweppes, Russian Water, tonic water and the usual Coca Cola, Sprite and others. The Lowball is the opposite of the Highball and is a short drink of a spirit and is served with ice, soda, or water in a small glass. Customers don’t want to look at someone that appears to have as many troubles as they do.

Rise above your peers by going out of your way and doing that extra bit just to please your customers. No matter which way you go, bartending will be a lot of fun and will take you far in life as an exciting career.
